Choosing to elope can look different for everyone. Alessandrea and Alexander both chose to have a Houston City elopement where their ceremony took place at one of the coolest hotel in Houston named Hotel Icon.

I started their wedding timeline by shooting detail photos in the hotel icon Suite. I also did getting ready photos for both the bride and groom. The thing about Elopements or intimate weddings are that most people think they’ll miss out on these small details of their day. I always encourage you to have me there to capture the moments leading up to your ceremony.

They didn’t mind seeing each other before their ceremony so I took advantage of the extra time we had while we waited friends and family to get settled in upstairs. These were their pre-married portraits and I think from now on this will be a highly recommended choice for my couples.

The suite at the Hotel Icon in Houston, has this terrace where you can hold your wedding ceremony at. This suite is private and those long stair cases you guys just saw lead right up to this spot!

After their ceremony, we continued to celebrate them on the rooftop of their hotel. This is when they got to pop their first champagne bottle and share their first dance as husband and wife. Their celebration did not end there though!

We headed down to the streets of Houston that surrounded their hotel. We got to run around and capture Alessandrea and Alexander in their element as husband and wife.

Just because you live in Houston doesn’t mean you can’t have your dream elopement. At the end of the day make sure you are planning your day around what fits your personality best and your wishes as well. They both wanted to get married ASAP and got to share this moment with about 10 of their closest friends and family in Houston.
