Jenny and Brandon decided to skip the big wedding for now. They decided to start planning their Houston courthouse elopement at the 1910 historic courthouse in Houston, Texas. Just in time for spring in Houston. They planned for their close family to join them on their special day. Where they would say there I Do’s in front of a judge and start this new journey together!
After their ceremony we headed down the outside steps of the courthouse to capture a few family photos. Afterwards we headed over to explore the city with the newly weds. This is the time where we get to have all the fun capturing the love between the bride and groom. Jenny wanted a very cityesque courthouse and city pictures and we did just that by exploring downtown Houston!
That’s the thing about elopements and really just city elopements in general, you get to choose exactly how your day of timeline looks like. Many couples decide to have their ceremony mid day, take photos immediately after and then they have plans for dinner with either themselves or with close friends and family!
If you’re wondering how you can book your elopement, reach out to the Historic courthouse by clicking the link below and scheduling a spot with one of their judges. Just keep in mind your elopement will have to take place during a weekday and during business hours. I know it’s not your ideal schedule but the great thing about this schedule is you will miss most heavy traffic hour and you’ll be able to miss the crazy crowds that come into the city during the weekends!
If you find yourself not knowing exactly where to go for photos after your ceremony, we go over all of my favorite spots around the city, from nature parks, to roof tops, city streets, and studios. I got you, you’re never alone in the planning process!!!!!
